 Angie Akers and Tyra Turner on a tear in the FIVB championships

Angie Akers (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and Tyra Turner (Fort Myers Beach, Fla.), ranked 6th in the world, swept their 1st match this weekend in Stavanger, Norway. Team FUBAR defeated Switzerland’s 43rd-seeded Isabelle Forrer and Sarah Schmocker, 2-0 (21-13, 21-19) in 32 minutes.
