Angie Akers and Tyra Turner representing USA, finish up 5th place overall in the FIVB World Championships in Stavanger, Norway today.

Turner and Akers were on fire the entire FIVB tournament as they upset some big name teams from around the world.  In their final match against Ross and Kessy in the quarter-finals, Akers/Turner won the first match 21-17, only to lose two straight to the other USA team who is currently the number one women’s Beach Volleyball team in the world.
